Another great dress is the classic color blocks that are hot this season, either entirely one color or mixing it up with paneling these dresses will not have you looking plain Jane. If you are feeling like you need to spice up one of these solids throw on some funky jewels, a strappy sandal, and a beach tote; summer better look out. Check back next week when I will talk about swimwear and the best styles for each body shape this season.

Summertime and the living is easy!
First off, let me apologize for taking so long to update. Things have been crazy with graduating from college, picking out what to wear for graduation, and just life in general. Never fear I am back, I promise to write a little more often now that life has calmed down enough for my to focus on my one true love, fashion. I now have a new love for sporty athletic clothing and this is my tribute to summer. Athletica has some new trends that bring working out and fashion together; with great pink hues, and crossing shapes they flatter a wide range of athletes. I have always had a love for the bright colors and who really does that better than Nike. Not only can you have your outfit match your shoes, but they are in the most vibrant neon colors to give anyone at the gym a dazed look, and not just because they pulled a half-marathon on the treadmill. I am so in love with these NikeID shoes, you make all the decisions on colors! As much as I love athletica, I feel that I would be doing you an injustice if I didn't talk a little about the summer dresses. Picture walking along the beach, your sexy man-beast is next to you and you look fabulous in this amazing printed BCBG Dress that flatters your figure in every possible way. Found in the summer essentials section of every magazine and website alike, the trend is bright and form fitting in the bust with a flare at the hip. I am starting to drool just thinking about these great trends.

Spring Trends I can not get enough of!
So, after carefully looking through different websites I can actually look at when working,(working ya right!) I have found some of my favorite trends and the best ways to wear them. I figured since you are my only real friends....yes I am talking to you, I thought I would share. The first trend which I have already mentioned is the use of bright colors! I know, I know it is hard to look at the magenta's, and the school bus yellows and think they will look good on you. Do not fret, those only look good on either crazy tan models or crazy pale ones. What you can do with this trend is put it in your accessories, Michael Kors has some amazing colored hand bags; the accessories to our lives in the pieces to the puzzle of fashion. Personally the Canary yellow is something I am going to search for when shopping next. Another trend I love is the sheer over nude look, you can really wear this with anything. It does seem pretty dressy so I would keep it to a night out. But, I think you could pull it off underneath a sharp suit as well.
Flowers and butterflies, reminds me of when I was a little girl looking at clothing, but this trend has come back with a more classy sophisticated look. Floral prints is really big this season, but incorporating the bugs that accompany is a different twist on a normal trend.
These are my favorites at the moment, and please stay away from the geometrical shapes that I have been seeing around, and the weird origami dresses. No one can look good in origami, NO ONE. Have a good day everyone and happy blogging!

Back and Ready to get Sprung!
Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time coming, but I finally think I have the time and the will power to write again. The Spring styles are coming with avengence and I am trying to get my spring body ready for them! To inform anyone who does not know how I work this blog, I usually go back and forth between my struggle with clothing and style, and the newest hottest trends that I want to wear and that I could never wear! Oh the love of fashion has a massive hold on me! Moving on I am planning a new look for summer, I am getting my hair done and I am ready to flash the bright colors in a sophistocated way.
First I would like to talk about hair! This trend seems to be the love and hate of my life. I seem to always want something different, and still never decide on what to do. The current trends are a little more subtle then other times. That is if you are not considering peroxide blonde as one of the new hot trends. Who really thinks they can pull off looking like a cheap porn star in a dvd at the local headshop? Well I for one will not even consider this a trend, so the trashy look is not even considered in my thoughts of the season. What I do like is the new Sarah Jessica Parker, She has stuck with her tride and true, famous locks from Sex in the City for far too long; and now she has drastically changed to a beautiful soft brown. This is the current look that I am thinking of right now, the real question is how can I pull it off.
Other hair trends of the spring and summer, are cascading down from the oscars. Apparently if you are famous enough to be in a movie, or attend the oscars you must have amazing hair. I could honestly go 50/50 on this one. I see some of the trends like Kate Winslets look which was a somewhat fancy updo and I think, how could you ever transition that into everyday wear? So I would have to say I don't think it is possible. So my number one pick, with lack of being able to find anything that is not too extreme, is the soft brown wavy look.
Moving on the clothing! Fashion is a passion I can not seem to get away from(not that I am trying to.) From what the magazines are hinting at, the bold and bright, light and airy is always a great trend for summer. Pull off the Summer whites with bright accessories, and bring out the bold with mixing patterns with sleek pencil skirts to balance it out.
Update to come this evening, Just wanted to let you know I am back!

As the summer continues I can only think about shoes!
First, I would like to apologize to all of my adoring fans for my extended absence of amazing blogging. I know that most of you are completely devastated, but, crisis averted I am back to write you some great things about my life in the Fashion World. As I wrote in the title, I have been having dreams about shoes, which is somewhat strange but still lovely. For those of you who do not know, I am a bit of a shoe whore and I still feel like there is never enough. Well at least my small collection does not seem to fit into my fashion needs of the moment. One issue I have with shoes is that I have big feet! Not like my good friend Clementine who had to wear boxes without topses, but still a size 10 is hard to come by. I spend endless hours at the store, wishing I could fit into a pair of Jessica Simpson Pumps; But yet, my dreams come crashing down when even her size 10 is more like an 8. I have come to the rough conclusion I must suffer or wear 200 dollar Cole Han heals to make it through the night. But to those of you who do not have extremely large feet, please see the new styles of Cole Han anyways, very hot.
Moving on, I have been forever on the search of a good pair of jeans that flatter the figure. Unfortunately, I am not bearing good news, as I have not found the best, most comfortable, still stylish pair of jeans but the search is forever on. I have been impressed with Express jeans in the past but I feel I must move on, more to come on jeans in the future.
Now to the good part, shopping for school/work clothes for the fall. I have always had the tradition of shopping for the new year every August. (Just happens to be my birthday month ;)
This year is not going to break that tradition, I have been scoping various shops like Nordstrom to get my style ideas. Then with the ideas fresh in my head I jam down to TJ Maxx to get my discounted stylish fits. Even though some of the shirts look like they might have some sort of white foreign matter on it,(lets hope its just deodorant), I can still get my fashion fix on a budget. If this is helpful to anyone who is feeling somewhat down about shopping, or just wants to laugh about some fashion issues I am always down to give a good laugh. I will write more when I feel more inspired this is more of a rant. As always Peace, Love, Fashion.

As the days go by...Kors is on my mind.
In my so busy life, I am amazingly finding the time to browse the abundance of fashion sites when the chance arrives. The most interesting fashion news, as according to the web, is the attention Maria Sharipova is receiving reguarding Wimbledon. Is she really is going classic sheik this year? I know that this might not be what you think of fashion, I personally would not see this as a huge turning point for the tennis wear industry, but none-the-less; she will always be an icon. The word on the .com is that she is is downplaying her look this year, as opposed to the diamond encrusted getup she had last year. As this is not a blog about what the hot celebrities are wearing, I just wanted to throw that out there, and by the way who needs diamonds to play tennis?
Moving on to a more serious subject I would like to hit the main fashion areas of the world with my thoughts of newest styles. The first victim is New York. This classic city is known for making the girls scream with glee walking down the "ave". The most recent runway video I watched was Micheal Kors releasing his summer line. I know this is a little late in the season to be discussing the summer runway show, but I have been a busy girl. ( Don't worry I will talk about the fall 2008 line next.) This summer line was beautiful from Kors, He was giving woman an 80's meets Miami beach throw back. The bright flowey dresses reminded me somewhat of the woman from project runway who was all about the Miami look. Michael, you know better then to steal from your own pupils! I especially liked some of the itty bitty bright bikini's that remind of me of the 60's and 70's. Florescent pinks and oranges, swirling like rainbow sherbet, but in a floral pattern; Very elegant.Oh the classics will never die.
The fall collection of "Ready to Wear" by Kors is typical for him. He is mixing light browns with pastels to give it a feminine flair to drab fall weather.(which might not even happen this year if the weather doesn't get on some bipolar medication.) In any case, I have always been a fan of Kors, and this season does not disappoint yet again. Sailor style jackets are always a favorite of mine, and Kors does a cute skirt suit with the jacket to jazz it up. A few of the dresses in this collection make me think of 1942, an elegant woman with the curled hair, holding an extra long cigarette in her hand waiting outside of the swing club. Very Sheik. As to not bore you by too many details, take my word for it, Kors is going to be a hit this fall. Check back for my next runway show review. Peace Love and Fashion.

The Beginning of Time
When the first creation of fashionable clothing occurred, the woman were doe-eyed and amazed to see that such a thing could exist. With their hands covering their mouth, to stop the flies from coming in, they gasped in utter awe; fashion was the beginning of artistic beauty. Personally, it took a little while before I really understood, or accepted, this amazing trend of fabric and textiles. Now, I spend my days thinking about which color sandal looks best with which pair of jeans. I sit and contemplate what I could be putting together at Nordstrom's, sifting through true religion and L.A.M.B. to give off my own personal style, but still be in style. How I long for the days when all I can do is decide between a stripe and a dot, and my only true problem is what accessory will go better with the multi-pattern sweater. Alas, until that day comes, I am doomed to my computer and the wonderful world of the web. As this is more of an intro to how my days will go on, searching for the perfect outfit, what is affordable(on a college budget standards), and what I can share to the world of my thoughts and recent findings. I hope that you will enjoy what I have brought as pearls of wisdom atop a mountain of chaos. This is the beginning of time, according to me.
